Wilsons Patented Stone Cutting Machine

This is a model of the ill-fated Hoosac Tunnel boring machine. It was used in 1853 and tunneled into the East face of Florida Mountain. It worked for a short time and got stuck. Part of the hole that it made can still be seen today.
