NASA operated its own railroad over 38 miles of track between the Florida East Coast Railway and Cape Canaveral, Florida. Prior to the end of the Space Shuttle program, the railroad hauled the shuttle's solid rocket boosters, as well as helium, liquid oxygen, and liquid hydrogen.
